Magik Tools

For some of us the challenge of flying and complex air manoeuvres is getting old - I mean, once you can fly knife-edge and drain three batteries in one session without crashing, what do you do?

Many people turn to FPV (which is a legitimate sport/hobby all by itself!) and other mods, or larger and faster jets. This guy took a different route. Dedicating hours of tedious, careful crafting work to his model EDF F-16 RC Jet he built a remarkably realistic cockpit display.

FPV Cockpit Detailed Realism on an RC Jet

Some manufacturers realease kits for this, especially for the larger turbine models.

Where the creativity comes in though is by adding in a Pan/Tilt enabled FPV camera right into the pilots seat!

The video below shows what this looks like - absolutely amazing realism. Notice how you the pilot looks left then banks into the turn; it's probably as close as you can get to piloting a jet without shelling out hundreds of thousands in training!

The little LCD altitude display is a cracking touch - it all adds up to a brilliant model that would be the envy of everyone on the RC field.
