The A-10 Thunderbolt II
A fantastic twin engine RC Jet that’s fun to fly for both beginners and experts alike.
With a large following in the RC Community this plane is capable of flying safely at low speeds and at low altitude, perfect for the novice park flyer.
When you kick up the throttle though, you also kick up the thrills! Make an impact with inside and outside loops, inverted flight and barrel rolls, stall turns and hammerheads – you’re only limited by your skill and imagination!
This plane is the cheapest twin engine electric ducted fan RC Jet on the market today, and delivers performance well above its station. It’s made out of the best EPO foam, which means it is shock resistant and able to withstand the occasional bump and hard landing. Did we mention it’s ready to fly almost straight out of the box?!
As well as its stable flying characteristics and shock resistant fuselage, this plane has a superb power to weight ratio – meaning it can streak across the sky fast enough to thrill the most avid of RC enthusiasts.

Real Plane Facts
The real life A10 Thunderbolt II is exceptionally hardy with self sealing fuel tanks, armoured flight control systems and titanium armour for the pilot. Able to withstand armour piercing bullets and land when all hydraulic power is lost this plane can take a beating – and it has to when flying at speed under 1,000 feet around battlefields.
It was designed in the early 1970s by Fairchild-Republic for the American Air Force, being the first aircraft specifically designed for close air support capable of taking out tanks, armoured vehicles and other ground based targets.
It achieved this with an enormously heavy rotary cannon, the GAU-8 Avenger, which holds the record for the heaviest rotary canon ever mounted on a fighter plane.
The A10 Thunderbolt is still in active service, most recently being deployed in Libya during the toppling of the Gadaffi regime as well as being used in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
